np: shedaisy - mine all mine
i know its been a while, and unlike the other times when i dint update, my life's actually been pretty eventful in the past month. exams started and ended and the day after they ended anita came up to melbourne from hobart. we did the unthinkable and partied 3 nights in a row on the 21st 22nd and 23rd november...and after that could barely feel our legs. i think at that point any one of us would have been happy to never see the inside of a club again. of course, since its the 3 of us, that feeling didnt last.
sandy's sister diviya came down to melb from singapore from the 24th to the 29th and the 4 of us had a blast going around melbourne together, trying good food and cafes and even going for a train ride up in the mountains. i was really happy she could stay for my birthday which turned out to be pretty awesome. much love and thanks to my sis, sand, div and anita who cooked, organised the party and bought a fabulous tiramisu cake that was bigger than my head.
anita's last night was the 1st, so we went clubbing at crown. it was pretty cool with the live band and stuff. hopefully she enjoyed her holiday and arnott, bridget and coco will be reunited soon hahaha.
i was so drained in the last 5 days before leaving melbourne that i just vegetated in my room watching movies and tv shows that i downloaded or koped from other people. i could not bring myself to get dressed and go out. and plus, my new apartment is so nice, that i dont want to leave anyway. moving and setting up furniture was a real bitch and i never wanna go to ikea again, but the end results was worth it.
night before i left, i met sand, alberto, gerald and just for one last night of fun. it was a good night just chilling in bars and vowing not to sleep. at 7am i ran into uni to check the all important exam results and thankfully i did well and have a confirmed place in vet science now :D its been a long 10 year wait but its finally over so thats a major relief. so with a spring in my step i followed sand to southern cross where we sat with coffee at 730am watching the city wake up and i realised...
it was a fucking awesome year. i had a great time in school, i did well in school for the first time in a long time because i was happy. i made some wonderful new friends, and my friendships with old friends remained just as strong or maybe even got stronger after being tested by the 6000miles between singapore and melbourne.i worked hard(sorta), partied harder, had a little bit of romance, a little bit of heartbreak (or lets not exaggerate, it was more of a heartbruise) and the best part was finally achieving my dream. it was up and down a couple of times this year, but looking back...it was a fantastic year. hopefully this summer is a really good one and i go back to school in 2008 refreshed and ready to go. and who knows, maybe 2008 will be even better. |
